Government House Open Day

On Sunday 10 October 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE met with visitors to the Government House open day.

In the evening, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Marcus Stephen MP, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Friday 8 October 2010, at the Sydney Masonic Centre, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC delivered the opening address at the Joint Conference of International Stillbirth Alliance and the International Society for the Study and Prevention of Perinatal and Infant Death 2010.

On Thursday 7 October 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Director of Di Yerbury and Associates, Emeritus Professor Di Yerbury AO.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Chief Executive Officer, Money Solutions and Board Member of The Women’s College, the University of Sydney, Ms Virginia Dowd.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted an afternoon tea for the official launch of ‘First Voice’.

State Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Australia in New South Wales; Editorial Director of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers

On Wednesday 6 October 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the State Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Australia in New South Wales, Mr Peter Graham OAM, and Mrs Betsy Graham.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Editorial Director of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers, Ms Alison Leigh.
