Presentation for the 2011 Governor-General's Indigenous Student Teacher Scholarship Recipients; Opening of the Yarralumla Congregation of the Uniting Church Midwinter Arts and Crafts Show

On Friday 24 June 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a morning tea for the Governor-General's Indigenous Student Teacher Scholarship Program, at which, the Governor-General presented certificates to the 2011 scholarship recipients.

On Thursday 23 June 2011, at HMAS Creswell, Jervis Bay, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Commanding Officer of HMAS CRESWELL, Captain Jaimie Hatcher AM RAN, attended the official opening of Cerberus and Geelong Houses, at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended the New Entry Officers’ Course 44 Graduation Parade, at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, reviewed the parade.

On Tuesday 21 June 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Chief Scout, received the Secretary General of World Scouting, Mr Luc Panissod.

Afterwards, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the Commissioner for Integrated Design from the South Australian Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Mr Tim Horton.

Later, the Governor-General received a farewell call from the Ambassador of Ukraine,

His Excellency Mr Valentyn Adomaytis and Mrs Alla Adomaytis.

On Monday 20 June 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received Lambeth Degree recipient, Dr John Harris and Mrs Judith Harris.

Afterwards, at the Commonwealth Club, Yarralumla, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Co-Patron, attended a lunch with the Australian Capital Territory Royal Australian Air Force Association.

In the afternoon, at Companion House, Cook, the Governor-General attended an afternoon tea in recognition of World Refugee Day.

On Sunday 19 June 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a lunch for Yalari students attending Canberra Girls Grammar. Guests included: Mrs Anne Coutts; Ms Jane Doherty; Miss Lyric Hearn; Miss Mia Hodges; Dr Kate Makin; Adjunct Professor Margo Neale and Miss Larissa Woosup.

On Saturday 18 June 2011, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC attended the Official Farewell Function for the Special Olympics Australia Team attending the 2011 World Games in Greece, at which the Governor-General delivered an address and presented the 2011 Special Olympics Australia Hall of Fame Award.

On Friday 17 June 2011, at The Westin, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC attended the Australia for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees World Refugee Day Breakfast, at which the Governor-General launched World Refugee Day in Australia.

Afterwards, at The Women’s College, University of Sydney, the Governor-General attended a Q lunch.

In the evening, at the Embassy of Finland, Yarralumla, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, attended the Australian National University Friends of the School of Music event.
