Graduation Parade of the Royal Military College of Australia, Duntroon; Black Mountain School

On Tuesday 7 December 2010, at the Royal Military College of Australia, Duntroon, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the 2010 General Service Officers Graduation Parade, at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, reviewed the parade and presented the Sword of Honour and the Queen’s Medal, and afterwards presented Commissions and Graduation Certificates to the graduands.

Afterwards, at O’Connor, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Principal, Mr Frank Fogliati, visited Black Mountain School.

On Sunday 5 December 2010, at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Windsor, the Administrator of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, attended a Thanksgiving Service to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the proclamation of the five Macquarie Towns.

Afterwards, at McQuade Park, Windsor, the Administrator unveiled a plaque to mark the naming of Windsor by Governor Macquarie.

On Wednesday 1 December 2010, at the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, as guests of the Director, Mr Edmund Capon AM OBE, attended a ceremony at which the Administrator launched 'The First Emperor: China's Entombed Warriors' exhibition.

On Tuesday 30 November 2010, at North Rocks, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO opened the new Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children’s Renwick Centre in recognition of the Institute’s 150th anniversary.

Later, at the Museum of Sydney, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE attended a ceremony at which the Administrator launched the book ‘Admiral Arthur Phillip – The Man’ by Lyn Fergusson.

Children's Christmas Party; Official Visit to Zurich, Switzerland

On Monday 29 November 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a Children’s Christmas Party.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce departed Australia on an Official Visit to Switzerland and Singapore.

Earlier, in Sydney, the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO.

Australian String Quartet

On Sunday 28 November 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a musical evening to mark the 25th anniversary of the Australian String Quartet.

Earlier, at St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney, the Governor-General was represented at the Mass of Installation of General Peter Cosgrove AC MC (Retd) as the Chancellor of Australian Catholic University, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
